Happy Birthday LeiLei!

Today was LeiLei's 4th Birthday! We had a fun day with her. First, we made her birthday cake; then, she got to play outside (it hit 70 today!!! First time in over a month, and second time this summer!!! Yay for sun!) with her friends who live next door; then we had a small family party for her. We're having a huge family/friends/neighbors party next week for Leia, Max & Greg- all their birthdays are within 12 days- but it was nice to have something small with just us.

Here's Leia opening up her presents. Today she got an American girl doll that looks like her, a Polly Pocket pool set, a Cabbage Patch doll, a Barbie doll, LOTS of stickers, candy, and money. Lucky girl!

Last year we had 2 parties with all the same people 6 days apart for Leia & Max. At one of the parties, we did silly string, and that was a BIG hit. But expensive. So this year we just got a few cans of silly string and let the kids and their uncles/aunt go at it in the backyard. Fun times. By the way, I LOVE this outfit on Leia. It's from boden.com, and it's my FAVORITE place to shop for kids clothes.

LeiLei's Barbie cake. The kids and I made it this morning. She went back and forth between this and a Polly Pocket beach cake. She helped me write her name and her new age :)

And here she is blowing out her candles! Note Max holding onto the cake plate. The two of them started in on the frosting right after the candles were blown out.
