Trick-or-treating, AK style! Got the kids in snowsuits and put the costumes on them! They look like sumo kids. It was COLD tonight, and we walked up around our neighborhood and the one above ours. My legs were numb within 15 minutes. We were out for just over an hour, but didn't find any haunted houses like last year. Bummer. There was a house with a bonfire that was handing out hot cider, spiked for the adults :). That'll warm you up.
We hit Johnny's house after our trek in the neighborhood. He didn't have any trick-or-treaters, so we drove over to visit. The kids an I had stopped by both Nana and Joey's works earlier. Papa was the only one we missed this year. When we got home, we warmed up to hot chocolate (Leia & Max) and horchata (Greg, Jack & me). Now the kids are taking a bath...I'm next
Scariest part of Halloween this year? There was a black bear a block and a half from our house (can't believe they're still out), and the police had the road blocked. Then we heard 2 gun shots about 20 minutes later...we're going to say the police shot the bear, rather then it was random shooting. It's probably what happened anyway. There were hundreds of kids out where we were, so we were making lots of noise. But still...
