Can only mean one thing--the state fair! It opened today and we went because Greg was off and Tess had the chance to leave work early. The kids were way excited, and we all had a blast.
Jack, Leia and Greg all went on this slide twice. Max didn't want anything to do with it
God ended our time at the fair with this gorgeous double rainbow (there's one on top of the obvious one, you have to look a little for it).
It was another crazy day weather-wise here...maybe it's becoming the new normal?? I hope not. When we left home, it was somewhat nice. Just sprinkling off and on, and kind of warm. On the drive out to the fair, it started pouring. We got drenched walking in so we thought we'd check out the animals first, but then the rain stopped, so we decided to take the kids on the rides during the break from the rain. Well, the rain stopped and the sky cleared up! It turned out to be an awesome day at the fair because of the weather and not too many people. On the ride home it started raining again, pouring so hard we couldn't even see more than a few feet in front of us. There were flash floods on the highway. I didn't think we got them here? The rain would completely stop for maybe 30 seconds, then pour hard again for a minute. Cars pulled off to the side of the road to take a break. Maybe 5 minutes later, it completely stopped and the roads were completely dry for the rest of the drive home- getting back into town, where it had not rained at all. The sky looked identical to the sky in Oklahoma before a tornado, and we saw some more lightning. So weird.
